About Me

My name is Rafie Simantov. I was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Israel just before starting 10th grade. Shortly after moving I joined a youth movement and realized that the field of education was my calling. Since then I have worked in the field with a variety of institutions, including youth movements, the military, the prison system, schools, summer camps and more.

In 2008 I finished my B.A. in “Informal Education” and “Jewish History”, and in 2009 I finished my teaching degree in History. At the moment I am in the process of earning my second teaching degree in “English as a Foreign Language”.

I believe that the digital age that we live in must be harnessed in order to improve our role as educators. With over 20 years of experience in the field of education – both formal and informal. I have written countless lesson plans for classes and activities for groups. These lesson plans and activities utilize both “hi-tech” and “low-tech”styles of teaching/presenting.
